Overview
This Privacy Policy describes how Schemify ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you visit and use schemify.in (the "Site") and all schema generators available on it.
We built Schemify on a simple principle: the best privacy policy is not needing one. Because our tools are entirely browser-based, we have no technical ability to see or store what you type into our generators. This isn't just a policy; it's an architectural reality.
Plain English summary: We don't collect your schema content, your business data, your personal information, or any of the details you enter into our forms. None of it is ever transmitted to us.
Information we collect
We collect a very limited amount of non-personal information to understand how our site is used and to keep it running well.
Information we do NOT collect:
- Your name, email address, or any contact details
- Any content you type into our schema generators (business names, addresses, descriptions, prices, etc.)
- Account credentials (we have no accounts)
- Payment information (we have no payments)
- Precise location data
Information we may collect automatically:
- Log data: standard web server logs including your IP address, browser type, referring URL, and pages visited. This data is anonymised and retained for a maximum of 30 days for security and debugging purposes.
- Analytics data: aggregate, anonymised usage statistics such as which pages are most visited and which generators are most used. This data cannot be used to identify individual users.
- Cookies: see the Cookies section below for full details.
How our generators work
This section is the most important part of our privacy policy for most users.
Every schema generator on Schemify FAQ, Article, Product, Recipe, Event, Job Posting, and all others operates entirely within your browser. When you fill in a form and click "Generate Schema," the JSON-LD output is produced by JavaScript running locally on your device.
No form data is submitted to our servers. No HTTP request is made when you generate schema. Your business name, your product prices, your job descriptions, your contact details none of it ever leaves your browser.
Technical note: You can verify this yourself by opening your browser's developer tools (Network tab) and watching for outbound requests when you click "Generate Schema". You will see none related to your form data.
The same applies to the Copy and Download functions; copying to the clipboard and triggering a file download are both browser-native operations that require no server communication.
Cookies & analytics
We use a minimal number of cookies to understand how people use Schemify so we can improve it. We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting cookies, or any cookie designed to track you across other websites.
Analytics: We may use a privacy-focused analytics tool (such as Google Analytics in anonymised mode or a self-hosted alternative) to collect aggregate data about page views, traffic sources, and feature usage. This data is:
- Anonymised IP addresses are masked, and individual users are not identifiable.
- Aggregated, we see totals and trends, not individual sessions.
- Non-commercial use only to improve Schemify, never shared with advertisers.
Strictly necessary cookies: We may set a session cookie to maintain site functionality. This cookie contains no personal information, expires when you close your browser, and is required for the site to function correctly.
No advertising cookies: Schemify does not display advertisements and does not use any advertising network cookies or pixels (including Google Ads, Facebook Pixel, or similar).
If you prefer to opt out of analytics entirely, you can use a browser extension like uBlock Origin or enable "Do Not Track" in your browser settings. We honour Do Not Track requests.
Third-party services
Schemify uses a small number of third-party services to deliver the site. Each is listed below with a note on what data they may receive:
- Google Fonts: we load fonts (Plus Jakarta Sans, DM Mono) from Google's font CDN. This involves a request to Google's servers when you load a page, which may include your IP address. You can review Google's Privacy Policy for details.
- Web hosting / CDN provider: our hosting provider processes standard server logs including IP addresses as described above. These are used solely for security and performance.
- Analytics provider: if we use a third-party analytics service, it receives anonymised, aggregated usage data only. No personal data or schema content is involved.
We do not use:
- Social media tracking pixels (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok)
- Advertising networks
- CRM or email marketing platforms (we have no mailing list unless you contact us)
- Session recording tools (Hotjar, FullStory, etc.)
- A/B testing platforms that collect personal data
Data retention
Because we collect so little data, our retention policy is simple:
- Server logs: retained for a maximum of 30 days for security purposes, then permanently deleted.
- Analytics data: aggregate, anonymised statistics are retained indefinitely as they cannot identify individuals. Raw session data (if applicable) is deleted after 14 months.
- Contact enquiries: if you contact us by email, we retain your message for as long as necessary to respond to your enquiry and for up to 2 years afterward for reference.
- Schema form data: not retained at all. It never reaches us.
Your rights
Depending on where you are located, you may have certain rights regarding your personal data. Since we collect almost no personal data, most of these rights are straightforwardly satisfied, but we list them here for completeness.
Under GDPR (EU/EEA residents) and UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access any personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate personal data
- Request erasure ("right to be forgotten")
- Object to processing of your personal data
- Request restriction of processing
- Data portability: receive your data in a machine-readable format
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
Under CCPA (California residents), you have the right to:
- Know what personal information is collected, used, shared, or sold
- Delete personal information we have collected
- Opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information)
- Non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address in the Contact section below. Because we retain so little personal data, most requests can be fulfilled immediately.
Children's privacy
Schemify is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EU/EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If we make material changes that significantly affect how we handle your data, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users, for example, by displaying a notice on the homepage.
We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of Schemify after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
Contact us
If you have any questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or how we handle your data, please contact us:
- Website: schemify.in/contact
- Email: contact@schemify.in
We aim to respond to all privacy-related enquiries within 5 business days.
Remember: Because all schema generation happens in your browser and we store no form data whatsoever, any concern about your schema content (your business name, product details, job descriptions, etc.) is moot: that data was never ours to begin with.
